Uma Paranjpe is an Indian-American actor and playwright from the San Francisco Bay Area.
Broadway: Life of Pi. Off-Broadway: Life of Pi (A.R.T.), tango of a crumbling wall (Teatro Latea). Favorite projects include Orange is the New Black, King Lahiri (Amazon Prime), and Beast (Tribeca New Voices).
As a playwright, Uma's work has been seen at the New Perspectives Theater Company and at Moxie Arts. She also works as a teaching artist with the Atlantic Theatre Company and the non-profit Breaking Walls.
Uma currently lives in Brooklyn with her cat. BFA University of Miami.
